Bill earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1984. While at Maryland, Bill was a member of the Track & Field team as a pole vaulter and decathlete and earned All American honors in the pole vault during his senior year.
After graduation, Bill worked for Price Waterhouse in Washington, DC and later GEICO Insurance in various finance roles. Bill also received his CPA license in the state of Maryland in 1985.
In 1988, Bill joined Corning, Incorporated where, for the last 35 years, he has served in a variety of manufacturing, commercial and corporate finance leadership positions. For the last five years,
Bill has been the Program Manager Corning’s Finance Rotational Program (FRP) where he has established Corning’s worldwide early career talent development program for their Finance function.
Bill and his wife, Patty, live in Rock Hill, SC. They have four children, Dan, Ryan, Kate and Lindsey. Bill continues his involvement in track & field where he serves a volunteer coach for Fort Mill (SC) High School.
