Founder and Executive Director

Rick McGregor is the Founder and Executive Director or iMentor Global. He has worked with youth and young adults in the communities of Compton, Watts, Inglewood and South Central Los Angeles for over 20 years. He has kept hundreds of individuals out of gangs, off drugs and off the streets through mentoring and support.

 

iMentor Global's Fades for Grades program takes place in a casual barbershop setting, providing young men with a safe and comfortable environment to interact with positive role models and be exposed to new opportunities. iMentor also has the Polish program which provides manicures and mentorship to young women in the community.

The Challenge:

In December 2018, a few weeks before Christmas, Rick's home was burglarized. His family lost a significant amount of their possessions and the thieves even stole his daughter’s dog. Instead of losing hope, Rick and his family rebuilt their homes, their businesses and have been able to come back stronger than ever. To expand his nonprofit and be more competitive for grant funding, CHARGE has helped to rebrand and remodel his website, logo and operational plan.

With CHARGE’s help, Rick is undergoing a brand and website revamp.

• Raised $10,000 for a branding and website revamp

• Created an operational manual to allow delegation of responsibilities.

• Established working budget and cost/benefit analysis for programs.

• Researched sponsorship opportunities and other sustainable methods of future funding.
